Chanterelles
Yellow-orange in colour, they grow in forests in large groups. The chanterelle is an edible and tasty mushroom; their flesh is tough but tasty.
The cap has a wavy edge, 3-8 cm in diameter; the stipe is short, up to 8 cm long. The petals on the underside of the cap are lighter than the colour of the cap, partially descending down the stipe.
The flesh is pale yellow, with a fine odour reminiscent of peaches or apricots.
